The Latin American Petroleum Show (LAPS) has been Venezuela's premier oil and gas show for 20 years, attracting decision makers and executives from the energy industry from around the world and hosting audiences that rank in the thousands.

Maracaibo, the oil capital of Venezuela, will once again host one of the world's most important oil industry events. Between October 13th and 15th, more than 20,000 visitors are expected to attend this event.

With the recent success of the 2008 event, the 2009 edition of LAPS is the ideal venue to new-to-market firms interested in participating in Venezuela's offshore and onshore gas development program as well as those seeking to promote their technologies and services to potential end users and contractors.

The energy industry remains a pillar of the Venezuelan economy and is more important than ever to the future of the country. The Latin American Petroleum Show continues to benefit from the support of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, PDVSA, and The Venezuelan Petroleum Chamber.

In addition, many major international operating companies will be exhibiting in 2009. Participants in this year's event include more than 800 companies from 30 countries.

The Latin American Petroleum show is organized by Grupo B. G de Eventos, C. A. and International Exhibitions, Inc. Two companies widely recognized for their experience in the organization of technical conferences and exhibitions.
