PGS to survey fields off Saudi Arabia

The Seafloor Seismic division of Petroleum Geo-Services ASA will deploy its multi-component technology over the producing Zuluf and Abu Sa'fah fields offshore Saudi Arabia. The contract includes a one-year option for additional surveys and the provision of seismic data processing services by PGS' Data Processing division. The survey will cover 1,000 square kilometers using high-resolution two-component and four-component seafloor technology to better characterize the producing reservoirs and identify potential deeper targets. PGS recently completed a series of surveys over producing fields, including the most recent 1,500 square kilometer survey over the Zakum field off the United Arab Emirates.
