Consafe Engineering Services Ltd, has been awarded a £2.5 million contract by TOTAL E&P UK Limited for the design-and-build of additional accommodation modules to be installed onboard the Alwyn North "A" platform, in the northern North Sea.
The order includes 10 modules, comprising two-man cabins with an associated plant room, to be erected over two levels.
In addition to the onshore scope, Consafe will also provide support offshore as necessary to install and commission the modules, including corridor links and connection to existing platform services, utilising its Aberdeen-based workforce.
The contract is one of a number secured by Consafe in 2007/2008, generating significant growth in turnover and the number of employees, both of which continue to increase. Following recent recruitment, Consafe's Aberdeen workforce is now over 100 and growing with a further 15 engineers of various disciplines being sought.
Consafe's Sales and Marketing Manager, David Moore, said: "The strong forward order book and tenders currently being bid mean we are confident that the company's growth will continue in 2008".
Consafe is part of the McNulty Group, owned by Zoom Developers (P) Ltd, a major and fast-growing Indian investment company with diverse interests.
