Consafe Engineering Services has started delivery of new units for BG Tunisia's Miskar-B Platform and to Sigma3 for Shell's Nelson Platform.
The BG Tunisia Miskar project consists of four-level, 24-man Additional Living Quarters, with 22 modules, comprising two- and four-man cabins, wet units and office accommodation. This stage of the project reached involves detailed logistics and movement of manpower as Consafe will also be undertaking the offshore installation in Tunisia, using a number of its highly experienced Aberdeen workforce.
Simultaneously, under contract to Sigma3, delivery is underway of the Shell Nelson accommodation, comprising four identical H60 fire-rated modules, with a blast rating of 200 m/bar and providing an additional 16 bed spaces.
These two projects have contributed to the £10 million in orders booked by Consafe in the first quarter of 2008, giving an indication of an exceptional year ahead. The latest successes coincide with Consafe conducting its biggest recruitment drive in a number of years for all engineering discipline personnel.
