Amerada Hess Libya awards seismic contract to SCAN

SCAN Geophysical ASA has confirmed receipt of a contract award from Amerada Hess Libya Exploration Limited (HESS) for approximately 4,000 km of 2D marine seismic work off Libya, to be acquired by the high-capacity seismic 2D vessel M/V Geo Searcher.

"We are extremely pleased that HESS chose to award SCAN this important work" said Kjell Karlsson, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for SCAN. "The Geo Searcher is being mobilized from a previous work location off Pakistan where the vessel successfully completed a large 2D program for another super major oil company. SCAN expects to begin the HESS work during the next few days" he added.
