Stephen Maharaj (38) has more than 15 years technical and management experience related to planning, production, completions and reservoir engineering internationally. He was most recently a consultant at Sakhalin Energy Investment Company and previously worked with Halliburton as a business development manager and spent four years with Brunei Shell Petroleum as a production technologist.
The role will involve developing MSE’s recently expanded services in South East Asia from its base in Bangkok, Thailand. The company intends to recruit locally and promote its specialist oilfield services such as slickline, well testing and production system to key markets in Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei and beyond.
Mr Maharaj said: “My role in South East Asia is to mirror the success of operations in the Middle East, providing the same efficiency, quality of service and strong focus on HSEQ, while expanding our geographical area. MSE has a clear brand and an established reputation, which I intend to develop and strengthen to make the company a major player in this area. In the coming year I will be building on relationships with existing clients, as well as developing new business for our specialist products.”
