Fourchon, LA ... InterMoor Inc., an Acteon company, recently completed facility expansions at its Port Fourchon location.  A grand opening celebration was held on March 27 at 540 Dudley Bernard Road at Port Fourchon with more than 600 people in attendance.

The ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony was led by Tom Fulton, president of InterMoor; and Kirk Trosclair, Fourchon project manager for InterMoor.  Dignitaries speaking at the event included Charlotte Randolph, Lafourche parish president; Ted Falgout, port director; and Lin Kiger, executive director of the Chamber of Lafourche and the Bayou Region.

The facility was expanded to include approximately 25 acres and includes more than 1,200 feet of bulkhead waterfront dock space, a warehouse and an office.  It also has three cranes to support the yard-including both 300- and 225-ton crawler cranes and an 880-ton ringer crane - the Cajun LifterTM, which serves as the centerpiece of the expanded facility.

"The Cajun Lifter provides our customers with not only expanded lifting capacity, but also extended reach," said Fulton.  "The crane allows loads to be moved further out, providing increased storage capacity."
