DMT hires Umbilical Systems Manager

Houston, TX ... Deep Marine Technology, Inc. is pleased to announce that Alex Strachan has joined the company as their new Umbilical Systems Manager.  In this position, Strachan will be responsible for the design/procurement of umbilical installation equipment, as well as building a team of professionals to carry out umbilical installation projects.

Strachan joins the company with more than 30 years in Oilfield Operations experience with a focus on subsea cables/umbilicals.  He has held positions in HSE, Asset Integrity Management, Quality (ISO 9000) operations, and project management in design, manufacturing, and installation equipment.

Jeff McCalla, Executive VP of Engineering, says on the appointment, "Alex joins the team at a pivotal time in our company's growth.  We are currently working on a number of construction projects and the addition of Alex reaffirms our commitment of continuing to develop and strengthen our engineering and construction expertise to better serve our Clients."
