Expro celebrates safety success in Latin America

Expro has reached an outstanding safety achievement in Latin America by completing more than seven years without a lost time incident.

The achievement represents a significant milestone in the company's recently implemented Excellence in Operations program, and demonstrates Expro's commitment and dedication to attaining superior safety performance in the workplace.

Tony Soares, Latin America's HSE/QC manager, believes his region's success is based on employees' commitment to safety, and the continuous support from senior management to make the workplace safe and accident free.

He said: "This achievement is due to the procedures that our company has put in place and our employees' resolve in following them. Expro has a long-standing reputation for excellent safety management.

"I am very proud of the people that are working with me. They have strong beliefs and good attitudes, they contribute in our safety meetings both in the shop and at the well site, ensuring that any potential hazards are identified and dealt with.  They each bring years of experience to the table, providing value to our operations.

"Expro employees want to see a better tomorrow and realise that to achieve this goal good safety practices are imperative." 

Jim Crenshaw, Latin America region director, said: "The Expro culture in our region is driven by our values and behaviour.

"We are very focused on QHSE training which is the basis for our safe operations and service delivery. We see communication as a tool to exchange ideas and engage our people as business partners to ensure a safe work environment.

"This engagement flows over into all aspects of our Excellence in Operations plan and is why the program has such strong acceptance and potential for success."
