2nd Annual Pre-OTC Mixer Scheduled

Houston, TX ... The American Marketing Association Houston Chapter will co-host the second annual pre-OTC Mixer on Thursday, April 17 at 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Downtown Aquarium, 410 Bagby Street. The event, co-hosted by the Offshore Technology Conference and the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, is a networking event for marketing, communications and business development professionals working in or servicing companies in the energy business.

"Co-hosting this event with our great partners, OTC and the Greater Houston CVB, enables AMA Houston to strengthen the personal and professional networks of Houston's vibrant marketing community. Last year's event was a real highlight leading up to OTC, attracting more than 300 people. With an incredible location like the Downtown Aquarium this year, we expect an even greater turn-out," said AMA Houston President, Penny Todd of CenterPoint Energy.

Sally Goldesberry, Director of Meetings & Exhibits for OTC, said, "Our exhibitors, contractors and media contacts have been diligently preparing for OTC .08 for many months. This event is an opportunity for us to thank them for their continued support and patronage."

"OTC is one of the largest revenue sources for City of Houston," said Sara McPhillips, Vice President of Convention Services, Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau. "The annual conference generates more than $60 million in revenue. The GHCVB's involvement in the annual pre-OTC Mixer is to show our appreciation for OTC, their official contractors and the Houston-based companies who participate in this important event."

Appetizers, compliments of Downtown Aquarium and the GHCVB, will be served along with a cash bar. Valet parking at Downtown Aquarium is available for $8 or patrons may park in the self-park parking lot for $6.
