Schlumberger Oil & Gas Information Solutions acquires technology

Schlumberger Oil & Gas Information Solutions (SIS) has acquired DAEX Data Exchange from Oilfield Systems Limited, a United Kingdom-based company. With this acquisition, SIS enhances its portfolio of exploration and production (E&P) data integration products and services.

The DAEX system was developed during the past six years, solving real-world data transfer problems. It provides a data integration framework for transferring data between applications databases. DAEX--which can be configured for a company’s specific workflow and data transfer needs--links data stores involving many formats, such as the GeoQuest GeoFrame® reservoir characterization system, Landmark OpenWorks±, Paradigm Geophysical Limited GeoLog‡ and Baker Hughes RECALL¥.
