SemGroup has purchased a natural gas gathering system and processing plant by its natural gas division, SemGas, L.P., from Dornick Hills Midstream, Ltd. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
The assets, renamed Sherman Gathering System by SemGas, are located in Cooke and Grayson Counties, Texas, and provide SemGas a presence in North Texas. The acquisition includes a 170-mile gathering system and a processing plant. The system‘s high- and low-pressure lines range in size from 4-inches to 14 inches and connect approximately 200 wells to the refrigerated lean oil processing plant. The plant has a processing capacity of about 22 million cubic feet per day and is operated by 10 employees, all of whom are joining SemGas.
