Mariner Energy, Inc. has provided a further assessment of the impact of Hurricane Rita.

As earlier reported, approximately 60 MMcfe per day of production net to Mariner's interest was initially shut-in as a result of the effects of Hurricane Rita. Approximately 90% of the shut-in production has been restored (about 53 MMcfe per day). We anticipate that most of the remaining shut-in production will recommence within the next one to two months.

Also, operations have recommenced at our East Cameron Block 79 drilling location after another rig was contracted to replace the Noble Joe Alford submersible rig that was damaged by Hurricane Rita.
