Offshore Engineer's Conferences & Events: Offshore Energy Achievement Awards Offshore Energy Achievement Awards Offshore Energy Achievement Awards

Select committee names finalists in prestigious Oil and Gas Award

The votes have been counted and the finalists selected for the first annual Offshore Energy Achievement Awards. Join us at noon this Friday, November 5, in the Atrium Room of the Post Oak Grill (1415 South Post Oak Lane) as we proudly announce the finalists in this high-profile "Oscars of the Offshore Industry".

Drawn from more than 100 nominations, three finalists in nine categories will now compete for the prestigious OEAA. Award Selection Committee Chairman Don Weisinger, of BP, will preside over the formal announcement of the finalists at this media luncheon. Attendees will also get a first look at the OEAA statuette, created by a local artist exclusively for this event. Members of the local media, companies representing many of the nominees, and a number of selection committee VIPs will be on hand for this exciting announcement. A light lunch will be served, followed by a question and answer session explaining the details of this one-of-a-kind awards event.

Finalists will be formally notified by mail and asked to provide the committee with additional information as well as photos describing their entry. This material will form the basis of the committee's final task, choosing one winner in each category. The identity of the winners will be a closely guarded secret right up until awards night when the envelope is opened.

The OEAA
On December 16, Houston Mayor Bill White will be joined by a host of industry leaders and celebrity presenters gathered to recognize exceptional achievement in a wide range of technical and operational categories. The Award Selection Committee has tapped the following finalists in nine categories:
