Speaker Info: Amanda Martin Brock, founder and CEO of Water Standard, has spent her career focused on building and managing global infrastructure businesses in oil and gas, water and power industries. Water Standard is a global water treatment specialist and recognized leader and pioneer in delivering innovative water treatment solutions for desalination, water-based Enhanced and Improved Oil Recovery (EOR/IOR), and produced water treatment for reuse. In 2012, Global Water Intelligence described Water Standard as the company “doing the most to bridge the gap between the oil and the water industries” and in 2014, Water Standard’s technology was spotlighted in Upstream Technology Magazine’s investigation into membrane technology’s role in EOR. Ms. Brock serves on the Board of the Texas Business Hall of Fame, the Texas Water Commission, the Harte Research Institute (HRI) for Gulf of Mexico Studies and on the Advisory Board of Texas Executive Women. She is regularly asked to speak and participate at global events including the Business and Professional Women’s Leadership Summit sponsored by the US Senate and as an Innovation Speaker at the GASTECH Conference in Abu Dhabi. She was also invited by Bloomberg to participate in the 50 Thought Leaders in Water global conference, the Global Water Summit in Paris, the Executive Roundtable sponsored by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), in Washington D.C., and the Powering the Future; Exploring the U.S. Energy-Water Nexus panel at the Ceres conference in Boston. Ms. Brock is viewed as an industry strategist and has regularly spoken at the Citi Bank Industrials conference. She has also worked with the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C. and is a regular columnist writing on the Water Energy Nexus for Global Water Intelligence. Ms. Brock holds a law degree from LSU and attended undergraduate school in South Africa.
