Speaker Info: Margaret is the Vice President of Global Marketing for ExxonMobil Chemical Company. She received her BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 1979 and her MBA from Washington University, St Louis in 1983. Margaret has over 34 years’ experience in the chemical industry. She started at Monsanto Chemical in St. Louis and held various positions in engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing. After working about a decade in a joint venture between Exxon and Monsanto in a series of technical and managerial roles, the joint venture was acquired by ExxonMobil. Margaret assumed her current role as Vice President, Global Marketing in February 2008. Margaret serves on the Operating Board of the Plastics Division of the American Chemistry Council, and is the Sustainability Issue owner for the Chemical Company. She is a member of the Educating Women and Girls Advisory Team, and the Chemical Women’s Leadership Team. She is an active supporter of the United Way of Greater Houston. Margaret was raised in Bermuda where her father managed the NASA tracking station. She and her husband, Rick, have 3 children and one grandchild, and live in the greater Houston area.
