Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Facility Engineer, based in Aberdeen.
Provide an engineering interface with operations, service providers, design authorities, project personnel and other stakeholders in the development and execution of engineering activities
Identify technical problems, evaluate options and formulate solutions to achieve satisfactory conclusions with focus on the support, management and execution of engineering projects
Liaise with peers and stakeholders such as subject specialists, other disciplines etc. to deliver an integrated and correct solution
Apply appropriate engineering principles, best practice and know-how in the provision of engineering services and professional advice
Ensure that safety risks and business risks associated with engineering activities are assessed and that appropriate checks, controls and precautions are taken
Review as required: engineering, methods, defects, maintenance faults, non-conformances and problem areas. Use evidence from the reviews to improve effectiveness, reliability, maintainability and economy, leading to continuous improvement
Ensure understanding, application and leadership by example of all responsibilities with regard to the Company's Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
Be accountable for delivery in accordance with agreed plans and to the quality required
Help develop budgets and plans and assist operations personnel in reviewing existing facilities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Coordinate implementation of facilities modification and improvement activities during Facilities shut down
Work with the integrity team and be the budget and delivery owner of repair orders and fabric maintenance for the installation
Work with the operations, integrity and brownfield projects team to develop innovative cost effective strategies for the repair and fabric maintenance of the installation throughout its extended operational life
Work with the operations and integrity teams to develop technical requirements for repairs and fabric maintenance
Work with the engineering team to identify and specify modifications requirements
Lead the prioritization and planning of repairs and fabric maintenance scopes
Work with a range of internal and external service providers, identify the most appropriate approaches for execution of repairs and fabric maintenance scopes
Set and manage budgets for repair and fabric maintenance activities
Ensure appropriate engineering standards and management of change controls are met in the design and execution of repairs and fabric maintenance activities
Ensure activities are planned and completed safely, efficiently and effectively
Qualifications & Experience:
A great communicator who has strong planning & organisational skills. Furthermore:
BSc or MSc (preferably) in Engineering. Preferably electrical, mechanical or chemical engineering.
Strong project management & supervisory skills, very result driven and able to anticipate stakeholder's needs on all levels.
Relevant experience, preferably in upstream offshore engineering.
Awareness of safety culture in Oil & Gas and understanding of 24/7 (floating) production work environments.
Familiar with and challenged by working in a multicultural environment.
Regular trips offshore and to the head office in the Netherlands
