Planning Team Leader

The Role:
This role is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the operational & logistical planning delivery to Southern North Sea offshore assets. The role requires a dynamic, competent and professional leadership approach to integration and co-ordination of all offshore operations planning requirements. Key customer focus areas include Operations and Maintenance teams, Project teams, Drilling teams, Walk to Work teams, Decommissioning teams, as well as other activity sponsors.

Whilst the role is office based it will involve occasional trips offshore. In addition, the jobholder must have sound professional and safety standards, strong leadership skills, and an ability to develop others and provide timely feedback and guidance where required.

? Manage and lead a team of Asset Planners, Planning & Delivery Support Personnel & Vantage/Logistics Coordinators.
? Act as a senior discipline representative for planning related matters.
? Ensure the co-ordination and management of planning meetings with relevant departmental personnel.
? Ensure that activity set is deliverable within Asset Planning constraints and conflicts actively reported
? Identify and drive resolution of cross-department planning related conflicts
? Manage Aviation and Marine operation support utilisation and effectiveness across SNS
? Be responsible for the assigning relevant planning resource to asset activities as required, and as operational priorities dictate.
? Ensure that asset planning integrates with all relevant teams to ensure that cost effective and efficient use of resources is applied in the delivery of all activities.
? Maintain & continuously refine asset planning procedures, planning tools and activity reporting methods.
? Develop and Maintain asset year plan and ensure monthly planning reviews including look ahead and planned vs. actual performance occur with departmental leads.
? Maintain a holistic view of the Operational activity and identify opportunities for efficiency improvement.
? Effectively manage key Senior stakeholders within the business and third party vendors
? Manage costs by controlling spending and promoting a challenging cost culture to ensure we get value from suppliers and contractors.
? Be the owner and distributor of Key Performance Indicators for Planning activities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
? Ideally at least 10 years' experience within the offshore Oil & Gas Industry
? Excellent knowledge of Planning Techniques and Software used in Industry
? Experience of successfully managing and leading a team
? Excellent communication skills
? Strong stakeholder management
? Strong operational knowledge of the offshore and onshore gas business
? Effective decision maker and ability to operate flexibly and in line with business change
