Project Data Co-Ordinator

We are seeking 2 Project Data Coordinators for a short 3 month contract with our Bridge of Don based Oil & Gas Service Company.


Previous background in working with Materials/Stores Part Numbers and Cataloguing

Data handling experience

Excel user with average to above average competency managing data

Immediate availability.

The main function will be to assist the Engineering function in developing the Part Master file and data Preparation for those parts on hand or purchased since 2016.

The role will ensure that all descriptions, categories, Bill of Materials and related drawing documentation are technically accurate for company equipment so as to allow for the implementation of a company wide Stock System with standardized documentation and processes.

Main Responsibilities

To identify key pieces of Data needed to implement a new stock system and migrate the Data from manual records. The key pieces of Data are:

*Item Number
* An appropriate item description
*Related Vendor and Vendor Part Numbers
*Categories and families of Parts to enable processes, item searches and materials management.
*Bill of Material relationships
*Update the Inventor system records with new Part numbers
*Parent Assembly information
*Original Equipment Manufacturer Information
*Certification requirements and links
*Specify an item Lead Time
*Commodity codes and Photographs
*Other Data required to enable the stock system implementation.

Work with the Engineering department to:

*Identify the separate parts and assemblies of company equipment.
*Agree any changes to the proposed hierarchy of nomenclature used in identifying the parts.
*Identify common part numbers if shared across vendors.
*Review parts on hand and Part Master information through site visits to other sites
*Make recommendations on processes of managing Part Master Data.

General Administration:

*Check or Source information against third party vendors site or through data requests as necessary;
*Compile progress documentation and statistics on %age completed
*Faxing, scanning and emailing documents as necessary;
*Any other ad hoc duties as and when required;
*Support drawing office as required.
