The Senior Digital Communications Advisor is responsible for helping set and executing digital strategy and creating and managing content across Andeavor’s external digital channels, including websites and social media. The role serves as the primary social media community manager for official company accounts. The role ensures digital content is strategic, high-quality, and designed to effectively engage multiple audiences in support of business objectives. As a key member of the Content & Channel Optimization team, this role also works to facilitate visibility and integration among communications campaigns. The role also provides other communications support, as needed. *** This position is part of a job family with multiple levels. Maintains and executes on integrated digital strategy across multiple platforms.

Day-to-day management of social media channels, including monitoring, content creation, community engagement and advising on additional initiatives for effective communications. Maintains relationships and works with external agencies to achieve.

Oversees collaborative content management system, helping facilitate integrated campaigns and maximize the value of our communications efforts.

Consults with clients on communications needs, creates communications plans and materials that are strategic, address relevant audiences and take into consideration required resources. Effectively supports implementation of plans.

Analyzes, reviews, and reports on effectiveness of digital campaigns in an effort to measure, learn and optimize results.

Maintains awareness of new and innovative digital and social media trends and tactics.

Supports media relations, issues and crisis teams with development and implementation of social channel strategy. Participates in Incident Command team.

Support Corporate Affairs team development of content management and social media skills.

Applies standards that promote continuity and consistency across the organization’s communications processes.

Participates in special projects or other communications initiatives, as needed.


Minimum undergraduate degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English or related field required.

Minimum 4 years of experience producing communications for a variety of channels and audiences in either corporate environment or leading public relations firm.
Experience in social media in a company context, either at a PR agency or in-house.
Skills in leveraging social media engagement in support of business objectives and earned media coverage.
Strong written, editorial, oral and presentation skills. Writing/editing skills should encompass general text to specialized digital content.
Knowledge of communication techniques, methods, processes, and best practices.
Ability to manage multiple projects from beginning to end and meet deadlines.
Experience working with wide variety of clients across all organization levels as well as external agencies.
Ability to present complex business ideas, strategies and results succinctly and persuasively.
Ability to tailor communication content and style appropriate to intended audience.
Design capability and experience with Adobe Creative products, such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere.
Knowledge of digital content management systems, web and social analytics, website platforms, social listening tools, and basic HTML
Complete proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly self-motivated; thrives in fast-paced, changing environment. High-curiosity, eager to learn and understand technical subject matter/business.
