Provide electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering support across Mid-Continent Gathering and Processing to ensure safe, reliable, compliant and efficient operations.
•Maintain safe, reliable and compliant operations by owning ICE equipment performance management and bad actors report across all assets. Work with Operations, Maintenance and/ or Engineering teams to identify cause(s) of ICE equipment failure. Assist in the development of corrective plans and perform validation of corrective measures.
•Monitors electrical power distribution system. Maintains baseline appraisals of electrical capacity, identifying load flows, problem areas and areas of excess capacity.
•Provides troubleshooting support to Operations and Maintenance during emergent critical ICE equipment downtime.
•Provides engineering support for investigations on adverse incidents involving electrical system disturbances and electrical equipment failures.
•Prepares Scope of Work for ICE defect elimination related modifications.
•Supports ICE systems modernization and/ or capital projects through involvement in ICE system specifications, design reviews, acceptance testing, commissioning/ start-up, training, and documentation to ensure equipment deployed is safe, compliant with applicable codes and standards, reliable and cost-effective.
•Assists in the development of equipment standard operating procedures (e.g. LOTO).
•Owns ICE Critical Spares Identification Process.
•Collaborates with Maintenance Team on assessment, design and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and reliability improvement programs for ICE equipment.
•Based on the review of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) data, provides recommendations to the Maintenance Team in regards to equipment PM’s frequencies.
•Provides classroom and hands-on ICE technical and troubleshooting training to I&E technicians. As well, mentors I&E technicians in technologies and work practices.
•Minimum undergraduate degree in electrical or instrumentation engineering.
•Minimum of 10 years of electrical and instrument experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.
•Highly skilled in performing installation, inspection, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of ICE equipment associated with natural gas processing plants and compression facilities. Scope of equipment covers a broad spectrum of RTU’s, motor controls, pneumatic controls, AC/DC controls, instrumentation, power supply (utility and generated), electrical equipment protection and various communication protocols.
•Expertise and in-depth understanding of ICE principles and concepts, as well as related safety procedures.
•Thorough understanding of the tools required for the job.
•Advanced knowledge of applicable ICE industry codes (e.g. NEC, API RP500).
•Detailed familiarity with and solid working knowledge of many types of HSE processes, terminology and equipment.
•Valid PE- Electrical license preferred.
