Senior IE Engineer

Tasks May Include:
Developing and concluding proposals for scopes of services related to due diligence work
Initiating and coordinating the technical review process among internal specialists
Performing portions of the due diligence reviews
Coordinating input from technical specialists and writing of the due diligence reports
Following up on open issues with the Client, including coordinating input on such issues from internal technical specialists as necessary
Leading meetings with clients to discuss IE report questions and concerns
Supporting financial closing of projects relying upon the IE report
Preferred to be able to conduct Energy Production Assessment

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, or other relevant degree from accredited 4 year university
  • Master's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years' of experience within the renewable industry; or a minimum of 3 years' experience working in construction, project management, including at least 1 year of experience in the wind/solar industry
  • Previous project management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Wind or Solar industry experience or training
  • An ability to establish and maintain good relationships with clients
  • Solid technical aptitude
  • Fluency in MS Office products
  • Proficient in English language

Company & Business Area Description

The Independent Engineer will be responsible for supporting the strong growth of DNV GL Independent Engineering consulting services worldwide. This position is responsible for providing technical consulting and producing independent engineering reports for Clients that are due diligence assessments of wind, solar or other renewable power generation projects. DNV GL clients are often financial companies relying upon the report as part of their investment decision making process. The Project Manager will also be responsible for managing project budgets and schedules, and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
