NSL launches new mobile apps

NSL has launched two mobile apps aimed at providing rigging and lifting information to industry personnel.

The Rigging & Lifting app is based on NSL’s recently updated International Rigging & Lifting Handbook and costs US$19.2. The Rigging & Lifting app provides the user has access to the most up-to-date version of this industry manual in addition to relevant video content.

The Lifting Matrix app is free and gives quick access to lifting operations and regulations for all types of lifting equipment.

Duncan Bonner, managing director of NSL said: “We have developed these applications so that workers across the sector globally are better able to access job specific information and best practice via Apple, Android or Windows mobile devices, to ensure they are working to the most up-to-date guidelines and are compliant to industry legislation both onshore and offshore.

“Our mobile offerings combine industry legislation and best practice with cutting edge user experience and design to help clients access NSL’s industry proven products, no matter where they are in the world.”

The company also has plans to transform their additional eight printed handbooks into mobile applications over the space of the next six months.

In addition to the introduction of NSL’s mobile applications, the company has recently launched their new website nsl.ascoworld.com. The new website provides information on technical expertise and training materials related to lifting operations and safety within the oil and gas industry.
